Commissioned by O"Mealia Outdoor Advertising in New Jersey during the 1960s, this work was part of the company"s experimental initiatives under O"Mealia Research and Design, which explored the use of plastics in commercial signage. It is one of the rare examples in which Paul Jenkins employed poured plastic-a medium he tested at the firm"s request, adapting his signature technique of flowing pigment to heated plastic.
Work is in good condition. A few networks of hairline cracking within poured elements, most notable to left quadrant. One break to acrylic frame support to left edge of verso. Otherwise, work presents well. Framed without glazing measuring 76 x 51 inches.
Signed to lower edge ‘Jenkins".
